Golden Gate Park

This is a special place in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The picture is centered on the Japanese Tea Garden. In the surrounding area are the de Young Musem, Morrison Planetarium, Steinhart Aquarium, the Natural History Museum, and Strybing Arboretum. There is also the Music Concourse, an open air stage and amphitheater that is used for concerts and plays during the summer.

On summer weekends, throngs of residents and visitors can be found here taking part in a vast array of activities including skating, bicycling, walking, tennis, and baseball. You can drive from the center of the city to the beach along miles of scenic roads, or visit any one of the park's art galleries, science exhibits, and botanical gardens.
